Rafael Fernández-Grisales, DDS, MSc, is an endodontist and Associate Professor at the School of Dentistry, Universidad CES (Colombia), where he is also an active researcher in the Basic and Clinical Sciences in Dentistry research group. He holds a Master’s degree in Dental Sciences and has extensive experience as a clinician, educator, and investigator.
His research focuses on pulpal and periapical biology, endodontic microsurgery, biomaterials, and the clinical applications of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). He has contributed to numerous national and international publications, including clinical studies, systematic reviews, and collaborative multicenter research.
Dr. Fernández-Grisales serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Endodontic Microsurgery and is a board member of the Journal of Endodontic and Restorative Dentistry. He is also a peer reviewer for several high-impact journals. His academic work aims to integrate scientific evidence with clinical practice to improve decision-making and treatment outcomes in endodontics.
