Archiving and Digital Preservation Policy

Journal of Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry is committed to ensuring the long-term accessibility, discoverability, and preservation of its published scholarly content.

All articles published from Volume 4, Issue 2 onward are assigned persistent Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through Crossref. DOI metadata are deposited with Crossref to support persistent identification, citation, indexing, and long-term discoverability of published articles.

The journal also supports digital preservation through Zenodo. Published articles, article metadata, supplementary files, and research-related materials may be deposited in Zenodo to ensure long-term accessibility and preservation. When an article has already been assigned a Crossref DOI, the existing article DOI is used in the Zenodo record to avoid duplication of identifiers. Supplementary materials, datasets, or other research outputs may receive separate Zenodo DOIs when appropriate.

Authors are encouraged to deposit research data, supplementary materials, protocols, and other supporting files in Zenodo or another trusted repository, provided that ethical, legal, privacy, and confidentiality requirements are respected.

The journal maintains digital backup copies of published articles and related metadata. The journal website and published content may also be preserved through recognized web archiving services, such as the Internet Archive, to support continued accessibility in the event of technical failure or website migration.

Journal of Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry periodically reviews its preservation practices and may participate in additional preservation services, repositories, or archiving initiatives when appropriate.
