Generative AI Declaration
Journal of Endodontic and Restorative Dentistry (JERD)
The Journal of Endodontic and Restorative Dentistry (JERD) requires full transparency regarding the use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) and AI-assisted technologies in manuscript preparation, submission, peer review, and editorial processes. This declaration ensures compliance with international publication ethics standards and promotes integrity, accountability, and reproducibility in scientific communication.

- the purpose of use
- the sections of the manuscript where AI was applied
- Responsibility and Accountability
Authors remain fully responsible for:

must be explicitly disclosed.
AI must not be used to alter scientific or clinical evidence in a misleading manner.
- Confidentiality and Data Protection
Authors must not upload:
- unpublished manuscripts

If no AI tools were used, no statement is required.
- Use of AI by Reviewers
Peer reviewers must not upload manuscripts or any confidential material into AI tools.
The use of AI for generating review reports or scientific evaluation is not permitted. Reviewers must perform independent, human-based assessments.
